I have been looking at the problems that were most similar to mine, and none of them had solutions that worked for me. I am hosting a server for files, It s with the Easy File Share Server. I can manage to access it using the address (209.173.166.154:996) But the redirect that I signed up for with DynDNS Is not working. I wanted to originally just give a name to my IP address, but it doesn't work. I tried the host option, and it would take me to my router's configuration, I had someone outside of my home network try to access it, and it did not show up at all for them. I know I'm setting up port forwarding correctly, otherwise I would not be able to access it at all. I have it set to port 996 as you see in the address above. ANy solutions would be greatly appreciated. |

You probably want a WebHop. That requires 2 hostnames, one that resolves to your public IP address and is updated by your update client, the other the redirects visitors to use the correct port - if you follow the documentation linked from the WebHop page you should have no problems. |
