I have a free account, I log in to my account almost every day and access the domain over the Internet from outside the local network 3 times a week. Why does it say "Oh no! Your account is running on empty." and what can I do to prevent it from expiring other than paying for a Pro account? |

I do not think that this message expresses your account being near to expiration. Where exactly does "it" say this? I never heard about this message, so can't give any recommendation. Could it be that it is a joke from a 3rd party? The terminology sounds rather strange. Edit: You mixed up "account" and "cart" then. Edit:
Hmm, according to the menu on the left this seems to be displayed at this URL. Could it be that you have absolutely no services defined, no hostnames, no Internet Guide, nothing? Try to visit this URL to see your hostnames. If there are none, add one to see if the other message disappears. Edit:
So, the original message seems to be a bug. Simply ignore it. Edit:
As I initially said, I do not think that this message expresses your account being near to expiration. I rather treat this as a bug of their website program. If you didn't receive a warning e-mail (check your spam folder too!), your account does not expire. And the wording of the message does not suggest that it is about expiration, not at all. They say what they say on their website, and their reputation doesn't allow to do something different. What do you think, how quick would they disappear from the market with such business practices you insinuate? One month? A quarter? A year? Here's a screen capture: http://i52.tinypic.com/wspffl.png

Looks like I'll be losing my dynamic address again. I wish dyndns would just come right out and say, "We only offer 30 days of free access," instead of promising us a free account then deleting it without any indication of why.

There's one thing I forgot to do and I apologize for it: thank you for trying to help me when no one else would.

OK, so you pay for a Pro account for one month, then you can cancel and keep one free domain running. That was difficult information to find on the site, not just for me it appears. |

I am having this same problem. My (free) account must have expired and I can't get it up and running again. My account shows that I have no hosts available. When I try to add a host, it shows that my account is "running on empty." Is it still possible to use the free service? If so, is there documentation someone on how to achieve this? Thank you. There's even a sticky post - http://www.dyndnscommunity.com/questions/21580/from-dyn-what-happened-to-free-accounts.html - if that doesn't help then please ask your own question.
