Hello Howard Stotland,

DynDNS does not send email for IP address changes communicated to your account and hostname.

And am not aware of the DynDNS supported update client having this feature. There may be other software update cients which do, but I am also not aware of them.

Embedded update clients (i.e. routers, DVRs, Cameras, etc) may also have this feature, but you would have to check each one individually.

Maybe another member of the community has some first hand knowledge concerning this feature.

regards...

This has been asked before, and the answer has always been that:

  1. DynDNS does not offer such a service
  2. None of the approved update clients offer such a facility

Generally you shouldn't need an email, the whole point of the Dynamic DNS service is that your hostname is kept updated without intervention.
