The DVR either has an update client built in, or it doesn't. If it doesn't then you'll need to use the one built into your router (if it works) or install a software update client.

To Cry Havok thanx for response how do i know whether clover dvr 4570 has update client built in or not. it does have DDNS tab wher i can write my host name and user name and password. also regarding router i have dlink DI 524 router. does it have update client built in? and what about the adsl modem in between . does it need to be configured for update client as well? and if so how do i find whether it has update client or not?

If it has a tab for DDNS where you can enter the DynDNS account details then it has an update client. The same goes for the router - if it has a place to select DynDNS from a list of DDNS providers and then space for a hostname, username and password then it has a built in update client.

You must only configure a single device as an update client - if you configure more than one then it's likely that you'll end up with your account blocked.

Ideally you should configure the device with the real WAN IP as the update client. This may be your ADSL modem, or it may be your router, depending on how your network and ISP is configured.
