General DNS & Domains Dyn Email Update Clients Dyn Developer

Possible Duplicate:
Setting up client’s accounts

I own a security company and install DVR's with remote viewing. I want to use some form of my company name and .com;.net, .org...you know what I mean. (ie JoesStoreCameras@MyCompanyName.com). I only have about 10 DVR's out right now but I hope to increase that number quickly. I do not need any mail services, as far as I know. I would suspect I will not exceed 100 names any time soon.

Thanks, Steve

I'd direct you to this identical question. In short, you'll want the Dynect platform.

Mr. Havok,

Whoa, kinda pricey. I looked at some of your other answers and I'm hoping I can go with something like registering a domain name and paying for custom DNS. Am I on the right track?

Yes, but Custom DNS is limited to 75 records. You'd need to create subdomains with no more than 75 clients in each if you wanted to go down the Custom DNS route - and as the linked answer said EVERY ONE of your clients will have full control of your domain.

Sensi Havok,

Thank you for the information. Also, thank you for the time you donate to the site. It's nice to see someone chipping in without the normal Corporate BS.

If you ever need any info in burglar, fire alarms, regular old composite CCTV systems or access control just let me know.

Thanks again, Steve
