You'll also need to purchase the Dynamic DNS Pro service or run an update client that will touch your hostname at least every 30 days (the official clients don't). "The official clients don't" -- Oops, really? I thought they do! At least DynDNS Updater ver 3 did.

Not any more - there was an official post to that point on this forum. I don't think they've changed V3's behaviour, but nothing more recent - MacOS X or Windows - does the periodic update.
