i am a new user i made a host name and put all the setings in my DVR after setting it is written at the end "DDNS connection ok". when i write my host name in the browser with port 80 but there is nothing any reply and displayed the page cannot be found i also try the to change the port with 8000 but no work. please help in viewing the DVR

If your DVR is sitting behind a router, you will need to configure port forwarding on your router to forward incoming requests on a specified port to the internal IP address of the DVR device.

For example may need to configure the port forwarding on your router to forward TCP and/or UDP requests on port 5050 to 192.168.1.xx << internal address of DVR.

Some DVRs require communication over 2 ports one port for video the other port for control information.

Please see this wiki entry which covers the basics. I'm guessing you haven't done any port forwarding, which is covered.
