General DNS & Domains Dyn Email Update Clients Dyn Developer

I've installed DynDNS Updater client using an administrator account. When I login as user (without admin privileges) DynDNS Updater client seems not work correctly. The updater is off and if I try to click on "start update" doens't start. Otherwise, if I login with admin privileges updater works. S.O. is XP Pro SP3. Thanks in advance.

Which version (number) of the client did you install? Is it running as a service?

Is there anything that makes you think that the automatic updates aren't happening (ie, why are you trying to perform a manual update - which may cause your account to be blocked for abuse)?

It sounds like an issue with the V4 client and XP. Try uninstalling it and installing V3 of the client, as found from the download page.

I confirm Version 3 of the client has no problem. It works.

Thank you!

Yes, it's running as a service. The service is running. The version of client is 4.1.5 (last available)

I tried to connect to the machine where updater client is installed, but failed. I checked and I wondered the IP address registered was not the IP address correct. As soon as I log-in as admin, the client updated the IP Add correctly and I was able to connect to machine. I've tried to reinstall the client but no change. It seems that when the user is logged in, the updater doesn't work. In my previous installation, the person who log-in was always an admin and, obviously, no problem. Only in this case the person must use the machine as user.

No Abuse.
