General DNS & Domains Dyn Email Update Clients Dyn Developer

Hello to everyone,

2 days ago after a mistake in my domain provider account the delegation nameservers were lost. As a result http://ns1.server40.net and http://ns2.server40.net were set as nameservers and when I launched my url address I was forwarded to the wrong address, the domain provider's main page. Today, I reset * ns1.mydyndns.org * ns2.mydyndns.org * ns3.mydyndns.org * ns4.mydyndns.org as delegation nameservers and set again the correct ip for the domain, however I am still forwarded to the domain provider's main page instead of the ip I have set.

How much time is needed for the renewal to take place?

This almost depends on the TTL value, which was set for your domain provider's nameserver entries, but also some DNS services may be slow or not really regarding the TTL value. For example, if the TTL was 86400 (seconds), the caches hold the entry for at least one day.

Assuming you've changed it in your domain registration then it can take up to 72 hours (3 days) for it to be flushed from caches depending on the registrar. If you can provide the domain name in question then we can look and see and tell you what's currently published by the registrar.

the url is http://citrixtest.gr

I'm trying to connect to https://citrixtest.gr that should lead to 193.92.70.206 and I am forwarded to http://www.ip.gr/el/main/index.php?ref=ip&data= which is the domain name provider main page.

Just to clarify https://citrixtest.gr should connect to a Citrix XenApp server which is attached to 193.92.70.206 and what happens is that I am forwarded to http://ip.gr/el/main/index.php?ref=ip&data=

Thank you for your help!!!

Some DNS services already resolve correctly, some return SERVFAIL, and some still point to the old IP address. So it's getting better and better.

Resolves for me right now so anybody who doesn't have the old name servers in their cache should be ok. Checking other online services all show the IP you mention so you're probably close to having the old values flushed from all caches.
