Hi, I have a website http://www.zedzeek.com (hosted by another company) which Im happy with but have decided to make a small low traffic site (just a couple of pages) but would like a different web address http://www.theorloks.com SO anyways I've just registered that name with http://dyndns.com but cant see a single way how to redirect http://www.theorloks.com to say http://www.zedzeek.com/orlocks/ this should be simple but Ive been trying everything for 3 hours and making no headway cheers zed |

You need to have a DNS hosting service such as Custom DNS, at the moment it looks like you've only registered the domain. With Custom DNS you'd then create Do read the WebHop documentation regarding cloaking so you can decide whether you'll want cloaked or un-cloaked. Cheers mate, hmmm but that costs $30 and then Im not even 100% sure it will work. A/ is it possible to when someone types http://www.theorloks.com/ to have a small page come up "we've moved to http://www.blah.com" failing that can I deregister http://www.theorloks.com/ and re register it with my original provider? i.e. Im sure theyll let me do what I want, the only reason I decided to use a different company was I was recommended to not use the same company for domain name register than you use for hosting. ta zed

Yes, but it'll cost you to move the registration. Without some form of DNS service you can't do anything with the domain, no "We've moved" page or anything else. WebHop will work.
