General DNS & Domains Dyn Email Update Clients Dyn Developer

I bought a D-Link DNS-321 and I'm trying to set it up as an FTP server. I have a domain name,I'm using a Linksys router, set up an account with http://DynDNS.com and have incurred the following problems. From the home computer, I configured both the D-Link DNS-321 and my router for FTP service. From my home computer I can access the D-link and look at the files, but when I attempt to do the same from the computer at work I get the Dlink DNS-321 log in window and with the password I provided myself I can log into my account to make scheduled download changes but can't access any of the FTP files from an FTP directory for download. Its very frustrating can any one tell me what I'm doing wrong? thanks in advance for your reply. Bill

1 Answer:

When you connect from your work, are you remembering to use FTP? It sounds like you're using HTTP.

Check you've forwarded the relevant ports for FTP on your router and read the other questions tagged FTP.
