General DNS & Domains Dyn Email Update Clients Dyn Developer

Hi, sometimes i work from home and for me to log onto a staging server from home it is now required i give a fixed ip address to let me in. Could a dyndns option work like this, where i specify the dyndns to the server to let me in ??.

From what i understand dyndns is fine for specifying an address for incoming connections, but if i need to give a server an address so it knows its always me and to let me in, would dyndns do the job ??

I appreciate any assistance in this matter.

Thanks, Anton

1 Answer:

No - DynDNS don't have any service like that. You may instead want to talk to your work about the use of a VPN to access the server through.
