Can't ping Host name http://chrisadams.dyndns.org , port 80 is open checked with port tool. i'm behind Sonicwall but i opened all ports are services to check and didn't find anything in Logs, I've windows 7 premium & IIS installed http://localhost working fine. please advice i need to run webserver on my system through dyndns. |

Please work through this guide and if you need further help edit your question and include all the information listed at the end of that guide. Right now I'd guess that the problem is either the Windows firewall, or that IIS is only bound to loopback ( Edit When you were reading that guide, it mentioned to look out for particular IP addresses as your WAN IP. As the WAN IP of your ISP connected device is one of those then you cannot get this to work. |

ping has nothing to do with ports. firstly do you see the service running at port 80 (http server ?) if yes and you cant ping probably a firewall is cutting it off otherwise there is a configuration error in your system have to tell us more info about your setup |

I will check Cry Havok guide and update the result. For your information windows firewall is off and i cant ping dyndns site locally from the same computer. @Plouf port 80 was there i have changed to 49191. Remember not to try from the same computer, but a different one - testing from the same computer usually produces false positives.

I've tried that guide didn't work Your DynDNS hostname ----------- http://chrisadams.dydndns.org The ports you have forwarded--------80 and 49191 The make, model and version of your router ----Sonicwall (Firewall) IP- 192.168.16.1 No Router Getting static IP. The LAN IP address, netmask and default gateway for the device you're trying to reach ----192.168.16.76 , 255.255.255.0,192.168.16.1 The WAN IP address of the ISP connected device ---- 10.42.52.1 If you're forwarding to a computer the operating system and patch level --- windows 7 home premium. IIS 7 is installed and enabled. |
