General DNS & Domains Dyn Email Update Clients Dyn Developer

Hi

I've been looking into buying an SSL wildcard certificate to replace several existing certs and provide for some imminent projects.

I was hoping to buy a certificate for *.domain.com to secure several (physical) servers

  • a .net webserver with domain.com and www.domain.com
  • a LAMP webserver with some older projects such as legacy.domain.com
  • an internal mailserver mail.domain.com

I know that, as part of the SSL provision, a CSR is required. Does this mean I can only use a wildcard certificate on one server? If I do need two (or more) wildcard certificates, can I buy multiple certificates for *.domain.com (each generated using a different CSR)?

Thanks for your thoughts

Adam
