My dnydns hostname IP always updates to wrong IP. Even if I turn off all the WAN IP updated clients including router, IP cam and DynDNS updater, the IP shown on the hostname is keep on changing to something does not belong to my WAN IP. Could anyone advise me what happens and how to solve it? Thanks! |

As you haven't given us enough information to go on, it is hard to be sure. It is most likely that you configured another device to update your hostname and have forgotten about it. Try changing the password on your account as that will lock out that update client. Otherwise, please edit your post to include your full hostname, your current WAN IP and what the "wrong" IP is. Then we can see if we can help you narrow down the problem. |

Is the wrong IP you're getting the IP address of your internal network? Like maybe 192.xxx.xxx.xxx? If that's the case then it's your ISP's modem causing it. I'm facing a similar situation right now with a customer of mine who just wants to see his surveillance cameras online but DynDNS keeps changing the IP to an internal 192.xxx address which prevents being able to see the DVR online. Just call your ISP support desk & they will walk you through changing your modem & router settings. It isn't DynDNS changing the IP and it may not be the modem causing it.
