General DNS & Domains Dyn Email Update Clients Dyn Developer

Hi,

Is it possible to configure dynamic dns service to use dns server, located on target machine with dynamic ip, and use subdomains from those dns server.

Scheme:

example.com -> [dyn ip]
ns.example.com -> example.com
AAA.example.com -> [from ns.example.com]

If possible - then what service we need to buy and configure on dyndns?

Thank you!

1 Answer:

In short, no. There are a number of reasons for this, including the fact that you'd need to bootstrap (GLUE record) the entry for ns.example.com (which is not practical with a dynamic IP) and that the DNS standards expect and require the name server to have a long lived IP.

Why not just get Standard DNS?
