General DNS & Domains Dyn Email Update Clients Dyn Developer

I recently purchased my own domain (yay me!). I changed my updater to use the new domain name, and I can see that http://thetokenlady.com/photo is showing correctly. When I look at my account it also shows my free domain, but http://thetokenlady.dyndns.org/photo does not resolve. I can see in my account that the IP for the free account is not being updated.

I'll assume I'm doing something wrong here, since I'm new at this, so does anyone have an idea what? Do I need to run a second update client specifically for the other domain? My (home) server runs an updater, so it wouldn't be difficult to set up an updater on my PC also.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks, K. Doty

You need to ensure that you've configured the updater to update both hostnames. It sounds like you've only configured it to update your own domain's hostname.

Try putting in both hostnames with a comma (and nothing else) between them. If the update client doesn't attempt to validate the hostname then that should work.

That would be the answer, thanks. Looks like the built-in Synology ddns updater won't do multiple hosts so I'll need to get a different client.

thanks again!
