General DNS & Domains Dyn Email Update Clients Dyn Developer

We have been running our email server, the MX records in our DNS domain points to an static IP address.

The problem is that we lost our static IP address. We have purchased Dyn Email Backup MX, so we are saving the receiving emails, and will be able to look at them when the static IP address is back.

But we don't know how long is going to take for our Internet provider to restore our static IP, so I want to know:

Is possible to use Dyn Email Gateway to receive our emails (as Backup Email MX does) and relay them to our email server using a dynamic address (maybe using a dyndns domain)?

Thank you

David Castello

Well, you may have the free option to simply point the MX records to A records of hostnames behind a dynamic IP address, be it a DynDNS hostname or a hostname of your own domain, but only in case your ISP does not block inbound port 25.

Beside this, Dyn Email Gateway does indeed what you expect. Or if you don't want to have it at your mail server (i.e. without mail server) you can go for Dyn Email Forward.
