I have been using the free Dyndns service for my home camera system. It has stopped working, do I have to pay now ? When I log into the system it just comes up as a connection fail. I have tried setting up a new host without success, Your help would be greatly appreciated. thanks Steve

ditto. The service provider is not reachable is what my router is saying.

www.dyndns.org does not respond to pings, and traces to it die at 38.104.190.54 (even though its DNS shows as 204.13.248.116 when the domain name is queried).

Hmmmm... unchecking the Use a DynamicDNS Service box in my Netgear WNR3500L, clicking Apply, then checking the box and clicking Apply again finally made it update. So maybe it wasn't really 'unavailable' but something wrong with the SamKnows firmware it's running.

What phone are you using. I had this same problem with my android phone. The connect to server fail always came up when essentially I was relying on the 3g network or the voice networks. At first I thought the free service had stopped working. Uninstalled the android app and re-installed it all to no avail. The answer I came accross was to remove the battery and sim card from my phone wait 30 secs and replace them and hey presto everything was working again.
