General DNS & Domains Dyn Email Update Clients Dyn Developer

Alrighty, I've been at a complete loss on this one and hope there is actually a way to fix it. Long story short I have my router pointing wan port xxxx to lan port 80 on my web server. Trying to do a web hop redirect from http://me.mysite.com to http://mysite.com:xxxx . Problem is none of the links in my installed applications are working, (wordpress etc.) I can turn of cloaking and the links work fine, however I really want cloaking to work as I'm trying to make this accessible as possible to people who don't use computers much. Any way to make the links work within my applications? I've read almost everything I could find on wordpress url cloaking and whatnot, didnt' have luck. Many thanks in advance!!

1 Answer:

Please note that mysite.com is a real domain - don't use somebody else's domain to hide your own, instead use example.com. Even better, use the real domain.

It sounds like a configuration issue with your applications. Have you told them that they are all supporting me.example.com or example.com or something else? Have you tried not configuring them to support a single domain?

Helping you would be much easier if you told us the actual domain, the full details of the application (including it's version number) and the exact error message. That said, you're likely to be better off asking on a Wordpress forum for help with Wordpress.
