General DNS & Domains Dyn Email Update Clients Dyn Developer

Hello to all I want to see my dvr remotely using DLink DIR 655 Router; I've a paid account I've put my dyndns info and the hostname in the router page(username and password); installed Dyn updater (ver 4.1.10) and I can see the cameras inside the local network but I can't acces the dvr outside my network Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated Best regards

2 answers:

First off, the update client in that router is known not to work except on one particular firmware version.

Secondly, you must not run more than one update client for the same hostname, doing so will almost certainly result in your account being blocked for abusive updates.

However for your remote access problem, see this sticky. If, having worked through it, you still have problems please edit your question to include all the information listed at the end of that guide.


If the cameras have a built in client, you could try one of those instead. If they don't then you'll either have to replace your router with one known to work or use a software client on a computer that is always switched on.

Hello Cry Havok, thank you for your answer I've already read this link befor I sent the post.There's someone who told that the firmware version 1.35NA doesn't work no more (but it worked fine in the past) Do this mean that I must change the router? Hope to read you soon.Best regards
