Hi, I'm brand new here, and new to DDNS. This seems to be the only website offering a free DDNS service which is supported by Netgear routers? The only option in the router's DDNS config page is "www.DynDNS.org". I am struggling to create a DDNS domain on this website. Every option I've tried so far takes me to the page to sign me up to a paid subscription? Has the free hosting stopped? Wiki tells me "In November 2011 Dyn reduced the number of free hostnames provided from five to one". I'm wanting to remote access an IPCam on a static IP. The IPCam has its own DDNS settings, also with DynDNS as an option. All the forums and documentation tell me to use a free domain hosted by DynDNS, but all my attempts are suggesting that there's no free hosting any long. Am I missing something? Thanks in advance, -Anthony |

That's why we have a sticky post - to make it easier to find important details, if you take the time to look for these things. Unfortunately we, the other users of Dyn's services, can't control what other people write and if/when they update what they've written. Not even Dyn can control that ;) (And yes, the error message could be better) |

I have found the "add new hostname" button, but it takes me to a page that simply says "No Hosts Available", and gives me the option to sign up for a 14 day trial of Pro. |

Okay, so after some deeper searching I've found out that you have to sign up for a free trial first, then you're offered a free hostname after trying? I'll give that a go. Someone should update Wikipedia. It's a bit misleading. And the "No Hosts Available" error needs a bit more explaining. Got there in the end, thanks :) Hi, I don't want to use the 14 days trial of Pro as I don't have a credit card. I have a few accounts before and I have some free hostname. Now I want to have a free hostname for my ip camera, can someone tell me what to do? Thank you calvert
