General DNS & Domains Dyn Email Update Clients Dyn Developer

Ok, so I have a domain that I own, (purchased through yahoo a week ago), and I'm trying to set it so it is accessible to the public, despite being a dynamic IP. I purchased a year of DynDnsPro to go along with my year's ownership of this domain, but, I can't seem to figure out how to use DynDns's name server without paying more money and I can't seem to figure out why I have to pay extra (on top of my $20) to have DynDns's services to keep my domain up to date....

What do I do?

Hello Tzolak,

This is a user-to-user forum, and we cannot assist with account related issues.

That said...

You don't need DynDNS Pro if you have your own domain.

You need Dyn Standard DNS.

And you need to either:

1 - Transfer your domain registration to Dyn

or

2 - Delegate your domain DNS to Dyn.

Dyn has a 14 or 30 day risk-free trial period.

You can use that to stop the Pro service so you can get the Standard service.

Hope this helps.

regards...
