I set up free accounts for my customers so they can have a http://dyndns.org domain name. I use their email addresses and am not abusing the "more than one account" rule. I have all the login information for each account. Is there an easy way to take those accounts and put them all into one Pro account that I would gladly pay for? I have seen similar questions in the forum, but didn't see a final answer from anyone, or mixed answers. |

You didn't see a final answer, because there is no easy way. As this is a user to user forum where users cannot help with account maintenance, you had to contact DynDNS directly to get this done, most likely for a fee if at all. Alternatively you may delete all the single accounts and add the related hostnames to a Pro account manually. No matter what you do, please note that you lose the "feature" of having multiple account credentials then, i.e. this account has one username and password, also to be used for all update clients running against these hostnames. |

ahhhhhh, I see. I can get them merged but then I would have to run all around town and update the clients at each customer of mine with my new Pro account name and password. It may be a better route to open a Pro account, then while I am at each customer, at my leisure, delete the free account and then immediately add it inside my Pro account, then I can update the client when I am already there... Does that sound about right? Thanks for the quick answer! |
