Hi, I have 2-3 times a month DynDNS update problem with my payed account. My router Cisco RV110W have following error on DynDNS tab. "Strange server response, are you connecting to the right server?". I have last router firmware. Extra made reset and firmware update. My IP is dynamic and changed every 24 hours by ISP. There no special or strange entries in log file on my router. Error can be corrected either manually by DynDNS update GUI button on my router or by next dynamic IP lease. Especially for that reason I have booked payed DynDNS account, but it seems to be not enought. Error persists and occure sometimes again. DynDNS Support: No problem with my DynDNS payed services, Contacted Cisco support - "...this router has no bugs with dyndns update." "...make account at the another DDNS service provider" "You need to be sure that the problem is not in your Dyn account" Checked on Google for error string "Strange server response, are you connecting to the right server?" - about 3.300 results (included this DynDNS forum) regarding to various Linksys or Cisco routers with no solution. Only suggestion to update firmware, to check time prefs on router or to if check any special characters are in host name... Any other tips will be appreciated. Thank you. |

It looks like Cisco use You may need to switch to a known working router or software client. |
