I have a DYNDNS host that is set to my home IP location, I was wondering if it was possible to set up another location with a differnt IP with a different but similar hostname on the same account and how that can be set up?

thanks in advance

Hello thirdeyeopen23,

Yes it is possible.

Free accounts only have a single hostname. And you are limited to a single free account. So at a minimum you will need to upgrade to a DynDNS Pro account. This will afford you as many hostnames as you want (in blocks of 30 hostnames) in a single account.

After you sign up for a Pro account you would log in to your account, go to My Hosts. There will be a button to push for Adding New Hosts. Click the button and proceed as you did in setting up your original hostname. In fact, your original hostname will be retained as a free service hostname, and you will have available the option to chose 30 additional names under the Pro service. This will all be under a single account.

regards...
