Have a dynamic IP and am using DynDNS Custom DNS Service - working fine. I just purchased the Dyn Standard SMPT package and I'm trying to setting it up. I'm running Exchange 2010 on a W2K8 SP2 server. There are some new topics for me, MX List and TXT Records, these ones appear on my DNS setup page on http://dyn.com. I wonder what values I should enter there. If I trace the SMTP using http://mxtoolbox.com, I get: ----------------------------------- Session Transcript: It looks like my exchange server is replying properly but I'm unable to get emails from external users (for users into the domain it works fine) so I guess I should configure MX List and TXT Records first but I don't know how, please advice. Thanks in advance, |

The MX record for your domain should be a priority number (use 10 if you only have one mail server) followed by the hostname in your domain that resolves to your changing WAN IP - for example
Did you enter the All I can say is that you've got an error. Unfortunately because you insist on using domains owned by others, and not your own domain, when you post there isn't any way for us to know what the problem is. If you can provide the real hostnames and domains then, and only then, we should be able to help. |

If I try to enter in that format I get: Hostname "10 http://mail.mydomain.com" is invalid and cannot be used for mail exchange records. Thanks, |
