How do we set up an Apple Airport Extreme, using a free DynDns account, so that I can take advantage of URL blocking, as it is not available as a service on the AEX, but we can block from DynDns? |

The service you're thinking of is probably the DynDNS Internet Guide. You can't block URLs with this, but you can block certain categories of domains and/or individual domain names. You configure the Internet Guide DNS server addresses Further, you create a defense plan and associate this with one of your free DynDNS hostnames. In case you got a dynamic public IP address from your ISP, you must also download an Update Client to keep your public IP address information updated for your DynDNS hostname, so that your settings can take effect. Do not enable the Internet Guide on this Update Client, as you already have configured it on the Airport Extreme. That's it! If you need further details, edit your question to expand it as needed. |
