Originator hasn't returned to the topic in over a month. Closing to stop the forum bot bumping it pointlessly.

Your domain name should be example.com, not www.example.com. In that domain you will have multiple entries, including MX entries for example.com and the A record for www.example.com.

Simply create my.example.com, configure your update client to update it and change www.example.com to be a webhop.

When you log in to your account and visit the zone services page, exactly what does it list your domain as being? If it shows example.com then select Custom DNS Service and create an A record for my.example.com (see here for details).

If it shows www.example.com then you need to speak to DynDNS directly and see if they will let you change that to example.com as it should be.

If you're uncertain as to what you have, please post the real domain and we can tell you.
