Hi, since yesterday (about 6PM) it is no more possible to resolve any host ending with "is.dreaming.org". My Host is still available in the Host Services on http://dyndns.com but I cannot add a new host with this domain name. I also tried to resolve other Hosts which I found via search engines but there are no more results. :( like this:
I also noticed, that the domain registration was updatest yesterday evening.
Will "is.dreaming.org" come back or do I have to set up a new host name?

We are aware of the issue and are looking into it. We will make a status posting when we have determined the nature of the problem. As Cry Havok mentioned, 'dreaming.org' is not under our control; if the owners of the domain have changed something that has disabled the 'is.dreaming.org' subdomain, unfortunately we may not be able to restore the hostnames. (This is why 'is.dreaming.org' was discontinued and is no longer available for Dynamic DNS.) In the meantime, please create alternate hostnames in case we are unable to restore access (and to allow you to continue reaching your networks during the downtime). Edit: We have posted a status update here: http://status.dyn.com/ We will attempt to restore service for 'is.dreaming.org', but we do not have an ETA and cannot guarantee it is possible to restore these hostnames. |

i also used .is.dreaming.org now there are not working anymore :( Please advise. Hosts are still shown in dyndns administration site |

I'm not staff, and neither are most people who post here. If you want an official response you'll have to ask DynDNS directly. Posting here is unlikely to attract their attention since this is a user to user forum. All I can say is that "is.dreaming.org" isn't listed on any of the current DynDNS pages. Using the WayBack Machine shows that the domain wasn't listed in January 2006 either. I didn't look further back. Were you all using the free Dynamic DNS, the upgraded version or Custom DNS? You're right, i already used the contact form a few minutes before. I'm using free DynDNS but this actually doesn't matter because it seems like the DynDNS name servers are no more associated with this subdomain and absolutely no host resolves to an IP. I created this host name by mid 2008.

The domain Thanks for your reply. I set up this hostname a few years ago on http://www.dyndns.com. There were no other organisations involved and it actually worked since this friday. The hostname ist still available in the host settings of my dyndns account as you can see in the screenshot.
