I have a website on my server with domain http://execspeakwrite.com. I have a blog on another server (http://www.launchmybusinessonline.com/dev/esw/) I want to redirect a subdomain "blog.execspeakwrite.com" to the other server. I don't think the free version of DynDNS let's me enter my subdomain name. Instead I have to choose from something in the list like "dnsdojo.com". Does the dynDNS Pro version allow me to enter my subdomain name and redirect it (with cloaking) to the other server? Or am I doing something wrong ? Thanks in advance |

"Or am I doing something wrong ?" Yes, you got the wrong approach. As you own a domain/zone, you also must have a DNS hosting service for this, else nobody could reach your site. This DNS hosting service is the place where this webhop redirection needs to be configured. In case you're the one administering your DNS records yourself, then go and do it straight away, else ask the provider/registrar responsible for maintaining your DNS to do it for you. In principle this would look like this: In case this cannot be done with your provider for whatever reason, you really may consider to move your DNS hosting service to DynDNS, as mentioned by Cry Havok. |
