General DNS & Domains Dyn Email Update Clients Dyn Developer

Hey all,
Heres my problem, I'm familiar with having a server at home but new to having one registered. I registered one through dyndns with is http://www.32matmurray.com
But my question is, I have that registered, but how can i have it where i type in that address, and it redirected to http://tribase.homeip.net.

I'm wanting to do this to save from buying space and bandwidth, b/c i could do it here from home.

Any help will be appreciated, Thanks DAS

You need to also have Custom DNS, as currently it appears you only have domain registration.

Note that you don't need to redirect it to your free hostname, simply create the hostname in Custom DNS and configure your update client to update it (see here).

But go to http://32matmurray.com and then the other. 32matmurray still wont redirect to http://tribase.homeip.net. I'm confused honestly, ive tried all i know. could you elaberate on what you mentioned, thanks much DAS

Please be aware that comments are just that - comments. There's no reliable notification and even when notification does work it only goes to the person who's post you're commenting on.

Otherwise, you're almost there. You should now do as I said originally and create a hostname (eg http://web.32matmurray.com) in your domain for your update client to update, then use it in the webhop. That will remove your dependancy on the free hostname, which can expire.

That said, I see that your WebHop isn't using a non-standard port. There's no need for you to use a WebHop if you can use port 80. Just configure www.32matmurray.com to be updated by your update client.
