hi, i have just acquired a dyndns hostname etc for a client to connect his dvr to but am unsure where the ddns fields are to put hostname details in on the router, the router is a bt2700hgv v2, if anyone could help it would be much appreciated,chris |

Be aware that adding a comment doesn't provide reliable notification. In this case only you would have been notified since you commented on your own post, hence why it has been nearly a month since anybody replied. If the computer you installed the software client on is not left connected to the network the DVR is on and left switched on all the time then you must not use it. I would strongly recommend you uninstall it. The manual you linked to shows no sign of any Dynamic DNS update facility. I'd recommend you replace the router with one that has a working update client, or look at what the DVR supports. |

sorry but another question, the customer takes his laptop home each night, hence reason to acess dvr remotely, i installed updater and when he tried to connect up agian his laptop would not connect, he has got it working now but i have not seen him to see what he has done.wiil the updater with ddns work at 2 different ip addresses with out getting confused, thanks again
