As long as ddns updater is open, I can't disable the internet guide feature. I have unchecked the internet guide checkbox under advanced settings. I have to completely close the updater. The updater says I have the newest version installed. Ideas? |

So do it manually: How can I remove Internet Guide from my computer? I tried that but the updater keeps re-applying the setting. I had to disable the update client, then manually change it.

Don't reply with a comment, there is no reliable notification. Instead edit your original question or add another answer. Sorry, I can't believe that the updater keeps re-applying the settings if you unchecked the option Use http://DynDNS.com Internet Guide on this PC under Advanced. Again, uncheck that option and then change your local TCP/IP DNS server settings if needed at all, and all should be fine. |
I see, you indeed didn't read what was written. Would you please be so kind to also follow the mentioned links? For example this one? Should be possible even for the "visually impeared". Also, do not answer with a comment to your own message. There is absolutely no notification except for you then. Further, I have deleted your offending duplicate entry which is why I came back to this thread again. |

This internet guide screwed up my business payment network for last two consecutive days. Internet connection to certain domains don't work with 216.... IP and it hijacks your dns ip even if you change it. Crashes when tried to disable it. I guess they came up with the new update due to this issue. |

I seem to be having the same problem as shahidzs is there a resolution as of yet? Sorry, didn't you read what was written? Read again!

At this point it appears the same must be asked of you. As stated in shahidzs post whenever I try to uncheck the box and click apply or okay the program crashes and as soon as it restarts it hijacks my dns settings again. With any luck you paid attention this time.
