General DNS & Domains Dyn Email Update Clients Dyn Developer

I am trying to create new email accounts using my domain name that I have through http://DynDNS.com. I created a Custom Domain Name.

The thing is, the domain name I have is a webhop to the roadrunner servers.

I have no clue how to create email accounts using my domain name.

My website address is actually: http://home.roadrunner.com/~einsvanian Webhop domain name is: http://einsvanianmanufacturing.com

I would like to setup email accounts that use: (examples) "sales@einsvanian.com or sales@einsvanianmanufacturing.com" I perfer to use the short version "sales@einsvanian.com".

Since I already registered my domain and my website is up and running, what else do I need to do to get these email accounts setup or created and to start sending and recieving emails? Does http://DynDNS.com provide these services? I see it provides mailhop outbound, is this what I am looking for? Also, will I need to create a webmail server to be able to create email accounts? And what is MX Mail Exchangers, is this what I am looking for?

I have no clue what to do, any help will be appreciated.

Thank you. V/R Paul Eiselstein President Einsvanian Manufacturing, Inc.

Since you're using Custom DNS you're pretty much there (though I note that einsvanian.com isn't registered).

You've got a number of options.

  1. Get somebody else to manage your email - DynDNS don't offer this but many others do (including the free Google Apps). Simply follow your mail host's instructions.
  2. Host it yourself - simply ensure that your MX records point to your mail servers. That can be a dynamic IP, in which case you'll need something like MailHop Outbound.
  3. Redirect your email elsewhere, using MailHop Forward, though whether you'll be able to send using your domain name will depend on where you direct the email to.

If you indicate which is you're preferred option I (or somebody else) can provide more information.

Okay, I am using the Hmailserver to create domain name email accounts, I just need to figure out what to put into the MX Mail Exchangers.

Also, still trying to figure out if I have Hmailserver software setup right. I tried some test emails but got no where with them.

Still working on the issues.

Thank you for the above information. I used einsvanianmanufacturing as the MX is this right? Or will I need to put the Hmailserver information there?

Use MX Toolbox to test your mail server before updating your MX records.

The MX records must contain the full hostname that points to your mail server. That certainly won't be einsvanianmanufacturing, it'll be the hostname that you're updating to point to your mailserver.
