How to configure my ubuntu desktop to be accessed via VNC with DynDNS?

Is it possible to use DynDNS in order to access via VNC at my home desktop that is running ubuntu?

Have I to edit something on my router (and if yes, does this affect my adsl connection in some way?)?

Please, describe a step by step procedure, I dont know almost anything about DNS
