General DNS & Domains Dyn Email Update Clients Dyn Developer

Im tring to view my DVR from a remote computer.

DVR Model: Q-See QSDR008RTC Router Model SMCD3G-CCR I have static ip on the gateway was 10.1.10.225 and my external IP is 68.48.0.120 I have Ports 80, 9000,and 18004 (port 18004 is forwarded to allow mobile phone viewing) i also have DynDNS updater 4.16 updating the ip

Can anyone help? Thank you!

Update: Now DynDNS Updater is not updating my IP automatically and it says that the credentials are wrong while i can log in on the DynDNS website;.

Update: I have been able to get the update client to work and do i have to portforward the DVR Gateway IP which is now 10.1.10.144

Don't use comments to supply information, they're for commenting on answers and don't have reliable notification.

That error says that you've entered the wrong information in the update client. Check that you've entered your username (not the email address) and password correctly.


So, are you still having problems - your edit was vague on that point. If so can you provide the hostname and the ports you believe that should be open?

I have followed the instructions many a time and i have all the ports forwarded and there is a static Gateway IP on the DVR and i still can not access the cameras outside the LAN and i do not a a Private IP on the WAN my WAN IP is 68.48.0.120 and the DVR's gateway IP is 10.1.10.225

Is your updater configured with your username (not the email address) and the full hostname (eg myhost.example.com).

Also, I can see that at least port 80 is open on the IP you posted:

HTTP/1.0 404 Not Found

Though 9000 and 18004 are not showing as open.

yes the updater is telling me BADAUTH (DynDNS Updater) and the hosts are in the system
