I have a Linksys WRT300N at work and at home. Both have unique DNS addresses and the routers are set to update their dynamic IPs with http://dyndns.org. I can access each router when I am onsite and in the network, but when I am offsite I can nolonger use the DNS names to access the router. On site can use the DNS name and I am take to the routers firmware GUI, but off site I time out, I am sure I am missing a setting on each router, but I cant seem to figure out what it is. Start here with the guide. If these are the WAN connected devices then you probably just have to enable administration from the WAN (most SOHO routers have an option for that). |
