Trying to access a webcam. Setup previously worked. Now not working with new webcam. Trendnet TV IP 422w camera. Has fixed IP in network. Dlink Router. Router and camera port forwarded to 8001. Webcam works wirelessly within the network (which means the router and camera are working. ) Can access camera from IE within network using its fixed IP address + :8001. Cannot access from dyndns. Cannot even get to my router from dyndns. Log in is (no spaces). http: // myname . dyndns . org: 8001. Cannot access from outtside the network either (have access with laptop to local unsecured address). The computer IP address on dyndns is correct. I know I'm doing something wrong but can't figure out what. Thoughts? Thank you. |

If it worked with the previous camera and not this one then it suggests the problem is with the camera or it's configuration. Did you remember to configure the netmask and default gateway in the camera when you configured it? Have you worked through this guide, and if so what did the open port tool say? SUBNET MASK! listed . . 10. 1 Changed (per ipconfig) it to: . . 0 . 1 and everything is fine. Thank you.

Glad to hear you've got it working. The subnet mask would normally be something like Don't forget to tick the answer that helped you solve the problem - that's how this forum works. Thanks. I checked again. It was not the SUBNET MASK; it was the DEFAULT GATEWAY where the computer's 3rd digit was a 1 and the camera's was a 10. But you pointed me to absolutely the right place so again, thank you. Answer ticked.
