We have a few sites that we keep the DNS service on DVR's for remote viewing, and are experiencing daily losses. The access comes back on it's own after a while. My thought is that because the sites don't have static IP's, it's happening when the IP changes and then the updater is finding the new IP sometime later. Is there a way to make the updater look for an IP change at shorter intervals or could there be a deeper issue here? |

The official update clients check at fixed intervals - 10 minutes. If you want something faster you'll need to look to using something built into the WAN connected device. |
