I cannot access DVR cameras using wireless broadband from outside network. while I can access it from the network wirelessly. i have read near to 50 posts about this.. yes gone thru the wiki too.. SO I can't figure out what when wrong. My conclusion now is either i totally no idea about this.. or blame it on my 3G mobile broadband. im using this http://dyndns.org with "mychosenname".homeip.net and got the IP given. I put the IP in my DVR network setup under the DNS. in my router modem setup, i forwarded the IP port 9000 to the IP of the DVR. I try accessing it from the network, meaning im already connected wirelessly to the network and typing the IP of the DVR, yes i can open it.. and it asked the password to enter it.. using netviewer program. but once i disconnect from the network and try accessing it with my mobile broadband.. the normal error.. too long bla bla bla.. came out. so im really puzzled now. Please help anyone. Thanks in advance :) |

Your DynDNS hostname must resolve to the WAN IP address of your connection. If that WAN IP is an RFC 1918 address then you cannot run services accessible from the Internet. So, what are the first 2 numbers of your WAN IP, for example thanks Cry :) ok now im confused. how to get the WAP IP from my router or wherever it should be from ... hehe. last time i can access my DVR but using different router with cable connection. Now using wireless with Shiro router i dont know how to configure already. last 2 numbers is 1.10 with port 9000 forwarded. thanks.

RotBlitz has already warned you about using comments - if you do so we may never know you posted. For the WAN IP, open up the web based administration pages of your 3G router and find the status page, or whatever page shows the WAN IP. LAN MAC Address 00:30:0A:FB:1F:C5 Wireless MAC Address 00:30:0A:FB:1F:C6 is this the one u asking?? hehe

No IP address there, just 2 MAC addresses. Look for the phrase "WAN IP Address". |
