I have custom DNS sending users that enter a purchased domain name (example.com) to another host (example.dyndns.com) while changing to port to 8080. So the redirect under my http://example.com is http://example.dyndns.com:8080. It all works great until I add cloaking. Using firefox everything still works including the cloaking. Using safari the cloaking works but the page wont load and in the bottom corner safari says "Canceled opening the page" Any ideas? I did reset my safari cache but to no avail. domain name is http://rekievit.net |

So, you've enabled cloaking - what happens if you disable that? If so it may mean that the settings of your Safari install has disabled frames. Hmm.. What do you mean? The hostname points to http://hop.mywebhop.org, and is a WebHop host with cloaking enabled (which basically makes it behave as a simple frameset HTML page instead of a 302 location redirect).

Ah, missed that - I've never seen anybody enable cloaking. One edit coming up.

this sounds like the answer, I couldn't find anything on how to enable frames in safari but it doesn't really matter to me since i want the site to work with the standard install

No idea, and since you've not posted your hostname we can't test for ourselves. At this point, it sounds like either a bug in Safari, or a configuration issue with your machine. Sorry about that, right now its just the generic mac server page http://rekievit.net is the hostname which works fine in firefox but not safari
