The pubic IP address I get from my Linksys router and DynDNS Updater is the same, and so is the IP address given at http://checkip.dyndns.org and http://checkip.dyndns.com:8245/. It starts with 127.7.. However the IP address from http://whatismyip.com and http://checkip.org is showing 220.255... So I am unable to log into my webcamera via my dyndns name. Any ideas on how to resolve? SF. |

The most reliable source for determining your IP address is by checking out the router's administration pages. It should be possible to see the router's actual WAN IP address from there. If http://checkip.dyndns.org and http://checkip.dyndns.org:8245 return the same address, I find it strange that the other two return a different address. Compare with the actual WAN IP on your router to determine which IP check site was right. |
