I have a question regarding accessing the resources. In my case I use the timecapsule disk as a NAS and not as back-up disk. So of course I was hoping I could access it using the DynDNS wide area bonjour setup. I used the tutorials which are well documented and could get everything described in it to work. But now that I want to access my disk, i' m stuck. I can see the domain appear in the finder, when I select my timecapsule he tries to connect, but fails. I also seem unable to change the credentials with which to connect. Disk sharing in the LAN environment of the capsule is protected with a password, so I would think I would need to use this, but I can' t change the credentials. Could anyone point me in the right direction on how to access my shared disk using wide area bonjour? I have some screenshots available but it seems I can' t add them to this message because i' m a new user |

You most likely are referring to this setup guide. The remainder is rather not related to DynDNS, so I would like to recommend visiting Apple support, where is a bigger chance to get someone experienced with this equipment. |

Is the SRV target and port of the service correct? That is, is the target the correct hostname and does the port mapping Bonjour created work? If you're not sure what I am referring to, please see this answer for an explanation of how Bonjour uses DNS for Service Discovery. If you are still unsure of how to proceed then if you're prepared to tell me what your domain is feel free to email me and I'll try to assist you further. |
