Hi, can I tie http://name1.dyndns.org and http://name2.dyndns.org together, so that updating the ip address of http://name1.dyndns.org automatically updates the ip address of http://name2.dyndns.org ? |

Yes and no. You can get an Update Client to update multiple hostnames. If your Update Client (e.g. router) isn't able to do so, you can e.g. send your updates through DNS-O-Matic. The DynDNS software Update Clients are also able to update multiple hostnames. |

Set up a hostname with a CNAME record pointing to http://name1.dyndns.org instead of using an A record. Can't see how it could be done with the free DynDNS account, which would be a problem if http://name2.dyndns.org can't be changed to another. That's precisely the problem. He seems to be using DynDNS Free. Only with his own domain zone (DynDNS Custom) would he be able to create CNAME records.
