General DNS & Domains Dyn Email Update Clients Dyn Developer

So I have a client w/ AT&T Uverse (basically glorified DSL). They HAVE to use the AT&T supplied modem which does not have a DDNS client. I have a netgear prosafe running behind it. I have the DMZ on the Uverse modem set as the WAN IP on the Prosafe.

The Prosafe reports the private IP provided by the Uverse modem as the WAN IP to Dyndns as opposed to letting DynDns detect the real WAN IP. Does anyone know of a way to enable bridging on the Uverse modem or get DynDns to detect the real WAN IP?

The AT&T device is a 2Wire model 3800HGV-B.

1 Answer:

The simplest way is to run a software client on a computer that is always switched on. A quick skim of the manual suggests that it may not support bridge mode, because of the other features it supports.
