Hi, I've got an AIrport Express connected in bridge to my DSL router. In the Airport Express I've set up my DynDNS account. However I cannot reach my domain DynDNS, when I check my account on the website last time the IP was updated is in June. What did I miss? Thanks. |

Is the hostname up-to-date with your current, public IP address? Is the DSL router configured to work in bridge mode, i.e. the Airport Express holds the public IP? Perhaps even more importantly, did it work in June? =) Airport has the public IP, distirbutes private one in the house. DSL modem is in bridge. Don't know if it worked in June, never tried before. I needed it yesterday that's why I tested. The hostname has an old IP, not the current one (checked this morning). Thanks.

Note that you must be using Custom DNS with your own purchased domain name if you wish to use the wide-area bonjour feature in your Airport router. Regular DynDNS hostnames (such as http://example.dyndns.org) do not support this feature due to the types of DNS records needed to be created (SRV, PTR, etc.). You have two options if you don't want to go the Custom DNS route: 1) Check and see if your DSL router has an update client built-in (usually called DDNS or Dynamic DNS in the router settings). If so, configure it (it should ask for a username, password, and DynDNS hostname). or 2) Install one of the DynDNS Update Clients on a computer that is on 24/7 at that location. http://dyndns.com/support/clients/ |

I added TSIG information in the Airport Express as suggested in on KB article from the site but it doesn't solve the problem. |
