General DNS & Domains Dyn Email Update Clients Dyn Developer

I have a dyndns account - for many years.

Recently I started receiving notifications that site were blocked by my "Defence Plan".

I was not subscribed to that service but couldnt make the problem go away.

I then subscribed to the Defence Plan - free upgrade, set the programme not to block sites but it still does.

So, you have created a defense plan and associated it with one of your hostnames which is up-to-date with your current public IP? Then the defense plan's settings should apply. However, there might be a small delay before you can see the changes take effect. It is also wise to restart the browser.

If you haven't manually configured your computer to use the Internet Guide service, then you have most likely agreed to enable it while installing DynDNS Updater (which prompts you to choose whether to enable it or not).

If you don't want to use Internet Guide at all, see this entry for removal instructions.

Also, you need to flush your local resolver cache and your browser cache, else you will still be presented with outdated stuff like the block page. Needless to mention that you have to strictly keep your IP address information updated at DynDNS with an Update Client, as you use DynDNS for years.
