General DNS & Domains Dyn Email Update Clients Dyn Developer

Hi

I currently own x1 TLD which is about to expire. I also have a google apps account which hosts my mail.

I'd like to: transfer my domain registration to dyndns keep my google apps mail account where it is Hide my whois details from the web forward the dns of http://mydomain.com to my server at home with a dynamic ip

I think this is all possible with a customdns package, if so, can someone from dyndns give me a hand to make all the changes please?

1 Answer:

This is a user to user forum, if you want help directly from DynDNS you'll need to contact DynDNS directly.

We can provide you with guidance, based on our own experiences. In your case you'll need both domain registration and Custom DNS for the domain registration and DNS and then Secret Registration to hide your details in WhoIs.

Google publish details on the required MX records and for details on accessing a web server on your home network see this guide. You'll need a computer that's always on, and something to perform an update of your chosen hostname.

If you run into problems with one specific piece I'd suggest you start a fresh question for that piece, rather than trying to solve multiple problems in the same thread.
