Hi, I setup my host, I made the port forwarding in my router, I tested my ports with Open Port Tools, everything is working fine, but I can not have access to my IP PBX (I usually do it through MS Internet Explorer + an static private IP) from outside my network. If I try http://mydomain.dyndns-ip.com:xxxx (where xxxx is the port that I forwarded in the router) it works from inside, but not from outside.

Well, port 8037 is showing as open, as is 8017. Exactly what is the error you're seeing?

Well, I tryed from a different place this weekend and it works fine. Its seem that the firewall in my office is blocking the communication. Thanks, much!

I'd suggest you work through this guide. That the Open Port tool tells you that port xxxx is open suggests that it should work. If you post the hostname and port we can take a look and help you resolve this.

I did go through the guide before I wrote for help. The hostname is http://atalaya.dyndns-ip.com. They are, among others, 8017 (IP PBX) or 8037 (IP camera).

"it works from inside, but not from outside."

I can see these reasons for not working:

  • Your hostname mydomain.dyndns-ip.com does not point to a public IP address, but to a private one.
  • Your hostname is badly configured in any way, or is not activated yet, but you have an entry for http://mydomain.dyndns-ip.com in your hosts file.

Either way, do an nslookup or dig against your hostname to see what IP address it returns, or check at least your hostname page. Also, check your local hosts file for a related entry.

Well, the IP in my hostname looks like a public IP (190.163.xx.xx) and it is the same that in the WAN port of my router.

Hi Fernando,

I have faced the same problem once. I suggest you contact your IP PBX provider. I think they will be able to help you find out what is wrong and will provide you the better solution.

They've had it working for over 3 months now... Please take the time to read the questions and the answers before you post.
